How to reach the top in a companyfun " width="309" height="246" align="left" />Most of people dream to reach the top of the company they work at , and hope to some day flash CEO or COO or some other fancy sounding designation. However , most of them do not know the tricks to reach those positions and waste away their life working hard like donkeys in the hope of reaching that dream position. But the harsh reality is that working hard and showing unwavering loyalty and honesty will lead you to the very position you are already working—a junior staff working under some idiot boss! Below are some tips to reach the top of your company.

Learn acting

You may be surprised to know how handy the art of acting is in the promotion of your career. Learn to act like working when your feel like hitting your head against the nearest wall out of frustration of doing a monotonous and thankless job. Learn to give compliments to your seniors without meaning it. Learn to act dumb in the presence of your idiot boss. Al these will get you a long way.

Talk more work less

According to an intelligent man and writer Mark Twain “The less someone knows the more noise he will make and the more salary he will command.” Follow his words. Work to the minimum or completely outsource your work to collogues or (if you are lucky) subordinates. Remember most of the successful executives actually don’t work hard but they work “hardly.” Never lose a chance to showcase your knowledge (or ignorance) of a subject by talking too much or too loudly even if it does not make sense. I have actually seen that many people tend to talk too much and too loudly and mostly they talk about their ignorance of the subject. But to an outsider or an idiot it may seem like the person knows a lot. Remember , it does not matter what you actually are , but what matters is the impression you create in the minds of people about you.

Work in the right department

Working in the right department is very important. Work in a department where your work or your contribution to the company can not be accurately evaluated. Advertising , marketing , HR or PR departments are the right ones for you where people will never know how much work you are putting in. If you make the mistake of working in departments like sales or development then your work will be under too much scrutiny all the time and your will never reach the position your desire.

Learn to take credit for every success

Have you hard of an old proverb that success has many fathers but failure is an orphan?  So , claim to be the father of the every success of the company or at least your department. If you have some subordinates working under you then never forget to take credit for every good work of them and blaming them for every bad work. Do it in a subtle manner so that the people who actually did the right things do not get offended. Or simply let the boss know that it was you who were the mastermind of the success of all the projects and blame laziness or inefficiency of the colleagues for every failure. You will be surprised to know how easily your boss starts believing you and starts thinking for your next promotion.

Learn to play politics

Some wise man once said that politics is the game of scoundrels. Don’t believe him! He may be lousy himself at this great game. But don’t jump in the politics of elections. I mean just learn to play politics in your company. Politics is a ploy used by a smart man to gain more power for himself while giving impression to gullible suckers that he is working for their welfare.

Playing politics is useful in an office to put down any rival for promotion. Play collogues against each other and gain influence in return.

Lick ass of your boss

It may be a harsh reality but this is the single most factor that can get you to the top. Remember even your boss may have been in that position flattering and trying to be in the good books of his senior. Try to compliment your boss on every single opportunity. And always laugh on his lame jokes. It may be a bit difficult in the beginning but later you will be pleasantly surprised to know how well it is working.

How to work under idiot bossMany of you must have suffered working under an idiot. As can be easily understood , people are intelligent irrespective of their position not because of holding a position. According to The Dilbert Principle , companies tend to systematically promote their least-competent employees to management in order to limit the amount of damage they're capable of doing. So , chances are that most of you must be working under some idiot or the other (provided you have intelligence enough to realize that).

Working under some dumb guy is as irritating as anything. It can provoke “the killer instinct” (literally) which generally sleeps inside you. You have to actually go under the experience to understand the real frustration and anger associated with the situation. I guess at least thousands of bosses will be killed in cold blood if murder is made legal for even a single day. Otherwise , those people have the long hand of the law protecting them. So , following are some tips for working under an idiot without killing him.

Act as a dumbo

Working in an office requires lot of abilities , most importantly the art of acting. Like when you do not feel like working and have to act like working and greeting every day of your life scum bangs on the Earth posing as bosses. The art of acting comes handy if you work under an idiot.

Always act like a dumb person if you happen to have some idiot as boss. Some times try to be ignorant of even minor things that even a child would know. It will give your boss an ego boost and he will feel comfortable in your presence. The moment you show him your intelligence or that spark of genius , he will get alarmed and start feeling insecure in your presence. And the next moment you come to know that he has already started the process to either demote or humiliate you. All bosses feel an urgent and strong need to feel superior to their subordinates and take it for granted that all people working under him are dumber than him. So , finding some smart chap working under them makes them have an inferiority complex , which spells trouble for you.

Make minor dumb mistakes

Some times deliberately make mistakes. And do not forget to act like an innocent baby. Your boss will think you are also like him (dumb). This way , he will become both sympathetic and caring towards you. If you by mistake show some natural spark to your boss then he will be looking for every single chance to humiliate and put you down. Remember no boss feels comfortable in the company of smarter chaps working under him.

Try to learn to flatter your boss

Well , to be honest , this tip works even if your boss is smart. Everyone loves to have a chap around them who thinks highly of them. If you are unfortunate to have some dumb boss , then you will find it difficult to come up with fake compliments. Your will fear that any smart man will see through your not-so-genuine-praise as it is difficult to match your body language with the words. But do not forget your boss is an idiot so you can be safe.  Also try to laugh heartily on his lame and stale jokes. It will give him an impression that he has a good sense of humor , and will make him feel good. You will be surprised to know how many people in the history of the corporate world have actually risen through their ranks just by laughing on their seniors’ stupid jokes.

Try to compliment your boss on his awful sense of dressing or his (non-existent) intelligence. It will surely work as the human mind is sensitive to any information which comes its way , however rubbish it may be (that’s why people tend to believe thousands of superstitions and also terrorists kill innocent people in the hope of enjoying the pleasures of the so-called heaven after their so-called martyrdom). As a rule of thumb , underestimating the intelligence of your boss (or even people in general) will never hurt you.

If you can’t learn all these tricks then change the company to get rid of the idiot. According to a recent survey people actually leave companies mostly because of their bad bosses.

If you are smart you will always find some idiot or the other working as your senior , making your life miserable , so alternatively you can also start your own company (in that case don’t forget to refer this article to your future employees).

churchReligion is a matter of faith. Though in spite of nearly a billion non-believers , following a religion is unlikely to go out of fashion , all its glaring negative sides (including causing intolerance , making people not use their brain and instilling blind faith) notwithstanding. Religions claim to help people seek spirituality and are supposed to work as an agent between The Almighty and the common people. You can seek spiritually without a religion the way you can go on travel without the help of a travel agent. If you look at religion from the point of business then it seems that selling blind faith is highly profitable and effective. Religious institutions all over the world make billions of tax-free profit without selling a single credible product if you understand that faith is just an ambiguous product. There are several reasons why religion is a great business:

Voluntary salesmen in abundance:

Have you ever seen or heard of a single populated place where there is no school or college? You must have! But you are unlikely to find a single human-populated place where there is not a single place of worship. People are willing to become a priest because then they enjoy the great influence as a Representative of Religion Inc.

Great brand loyalty:

When did you first come to know about some sacred figure or a religions ceremony? Most probably in your childhood with the help of your parents. Faith sellers command the most loyalty for their product. People really do want to believe in a religion due to their natural fear and insecurity. The same people start spoon-feeding the product of faith to their children in the young impressionable age resulting in a new die hard faith user when the child grows up. Can you trust people to kill others just because they use a product of some other company? No! But many consumers of faith can do that! They are ready to kill others simply because they are not subscribing to the similar product of the same organization. Wars in the name of religion must have killed millions till date throughout the history of the humanity. A usual consumer product would only dream to enjoy that kind of brand loyalty. Imagine a Nike user killing a man just because he is using an Adidas! Whew!

Tax free income:

Most of the donations given to religious organizations are in black and not taxed. In a developing country like India , there are hundreds of “Gurus” fooling millions of innocent followers and in the process making millions for themselves besides enjoying great influence.

Most of the money donated to the religious organizations are spent in market expansion resulting in more and more places of worship. I guess India may be a country in the world where there are more places to learn blind faith (temples , mosques and churches) than places where you can go to learn to use your brain and open your eyes (schools).

Employment generation:

If you count the number of priests of all religions they will end up in millions all over the world. They all are feeding off the earnings of the innocent common believers. Without religion all these people will be jobless and would have to work their ass off to meet their both ends meet like the common people.

Helping growth of other businesses:

Do you know that superstition is a billion dollar industry all over the world? In India alone pseudo-science like astrology , palmistry , numerology form a multi-million dollar industry helping thousands of smart chaps living off on the gullibility of people lacking awareness and fed on blind faith right from the childhood. Religion helps superstition as it makes people habitual of blindly believing something and blunting their reasoning power. Use of religion and religious symbols is also very popular among beggars all over the world. Call it spiritual blackmail!

The great pyramids of GizaThe Great Pyramids of Giza are located in the outskirts of Cairo. There are more than 100 pyramids in Egypt. The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the largest of all pyramids.

People usually have a misconception that all the pyramids are part of the Seven Wonders of the World. But in reality , only the Great pyramid of Khufu is regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Egypt’s the Light House of Alexandria was once a part of the seven wonders , but unfortunately it was destroyed long ago.

The Pyramid of Khufu has a a base area of 562 , 500 sqft and a height of 475 ft. It was the tallest building in the world till the rise of modern-day skyscrapers. The rocks used to built this giant pyramid weighs more than 2 tons each and over 2 million rocks are used to built this pyramid.

The Pyramid of Khufu was built by the Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu (cheops) in circa 2560 BC. It is a common belief that the pyramid was built to bury Pharaoh Khufu when he died. However , conspiracy theories have different views. These theories point to pyramids being built for astronomical observatories , alien artifacts , and so on.

Egyptian pharaohs were believed to be buried with great treasures. The Arab conquerors in the past tried to gain entry into the Pyramid of Khufu in order to plunder it. Although they managed to find entry into the inner chambers , they failed to find any treasure or mummies.

Many interesting facts came to light after the Arab’s excavation of the Pyramid of Khufu. They unearthed hidden doors , boulders , and slabs that were used to seal the passages and chambers within the pyramid. Many myths about the Egyptian pyramid probably originated from this misadventure.

Another attempt was made by an Englishman in the 17th century. He , too , failed to find any treasure but in his attempt he discovered another shaft connecting the passages.

Thus , two conclusions can be summed up. First , ancient tomb raiders might have plundered all the treasure , leaving behind empty chambers. Second , Khufu treasure and mummy are still discretely hidden within the great pyramid. More
